After pompously celebrating the uncommon Diwali mostly in solitude a couple of days back, woke up this morning, a little earlier than usual to a fresh energy and a new zeal. After getting done with the morning workout and yoga, as I calmly rested in my lawn, embracing the phenomenal natural beauty around, with a hot luscious cappuccino in my hand, in the company of the fondest friend of mine i.e. the daily newspaper, I lost into the captivating Diwali ad from the Jewelry baron, Tanishq. I have always been fascinated with the way these big brands invest heavily in full page advertisements, and how creatively they try to convey their messages to huge audiences; but often their efforts and money go redundant, as the ads get overlooked by most of the people, even from their own target audiences. Or, in fact, these dailies mostly serve as an anytime available 'paper napkin'. If one has spilled curry on bed, or wanna protect furniture from getting dirt-kissed, there's always one permanent solution - a newspaper. Every time I see anyone mindlessly reducing the epitome of sheer knowledge and information to a mere 'tissue paper', it reminds me of the quirky scene from the Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots - "...pudine ki chutney on my $300 shoes", the same way these newspapers would feel like "...all kinds of litter on our tens of crores worth of stupendous hardwork."

Sympathizing with the brands, as I started delving deep into the ocean of information, complementing the read with palatable sips of caffeine, my eyes stuck to a picture – so captivating that despite running out of time, I just couldn’t get my gaze off it. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India celebrating Diwali with the bravest hearts of India, and the first line of defense at the Indo-Sino border – the Jawans of ITBP, who are known for their extraordinary courage & valor, and next-worldly love towards Bharat.
Deepawali – a festival that is meant for worshipping Maa Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth, savoring tens of delicacies, sharing humble greeting with family, friends, and relatives, lightening Diyas to radiate happiness, and bursting crackers to ward off the devils of negatives from our lives. But none of the above exists in true spirit for these fierce warriors guarding the borders and safeguarding our mother nation 24*7 from the hostile external forces, and the belligerent neighboring countries.

This kind gesture of PM Modi to celebrate every Diwali with the defense personnel not just makes them feel special, and fill up their hearts with happiness (that itself is a rarity for them); but also indirectly emboldens the overall security of our country. When the de facto head of the state actually visits them, is all ears to them, and enjoy the festivities with them as a family member; they are bound to feel special – and that feeling will just add on to their dedication towards the country. That in the long run, will certainly develop a more effective defense.

No sooner the above story made my heart swell with profound (healthy) chauvinism, another one filled it with heartwarming emotions. A picture showing the former Deputy CM and the Education Minister of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, Manish Sisodia hugging his ailing life before leaving for the Jail, with both having tears in eyes, and deep suffering on their faces.

Sisodia has been arrested by the CBI (and the ED) in the alleged Delhi Liquor Policy case. It won’t be ethical for me to pass a judgment on his crime without seriously getting into the facts, neither I am having any authority to do so. However, everyone has the right to express their opinion as long as they are not defaming or maligning someone’s image or breeding deliberate sabotaging intentions towards others. Thus, I would certainly say that I feel sad for the sorry state he’s in (although I strictly don’t for the other prosecuted ministers from the AAP). He has done some outstanding works during his tenure, including putting in impressive contributions to the overall govt education system of Delhi. As a result of which Delhi has set a great example for the other states of the country and has even garnered laurels from multiple countries around the globe.

Hence, you should always keep in your mind – as long as time’s going well, no negativity or complications will knock your door, or even if they will, divine natural forces will themselves deal with them, keeping you unscathed. But as soon the things start deteriorating for you, absolutely no one, no matter how powerful or wise will be able to provide any relief to you. Every single individual in the world goes through the latter, but the distinction between those who stand firm and tall even in inclement seasons and touch the highest of the glories, and those whose ships sink in the deluge of obstacles and laggard at the bottom rung in every walk of life is – unflinching resilience.
So…no matter how challenging state you are in, just hold on!

After a long morning musing, now was the time to get ready for the office. I took the cappuccino cup off the table and found that there's a little stain on it.

Couldn't find a cloth around to wipe it off, but only a...ahem, newspaper :')
