If the US, playing their debut T20 World Cup and having a nearly negligible presence in international cricket can beat the T20 champions and the runners-up from the previous season, Pakistan in a nail-biting thriller, literally anything can happen!
A team having part-time cricket players, and more full-time IT professionals, coders, and other top-level executives has played such exemplary cricket that has made them garner laurels across the world, has made the cricketing pundits scratch their heads, and has ignited the flame of novel expectations of the country in the game of bat and ball as well.
The US has been taking the apex positions in the medal tally of the Olympic Games for many years and decades now, followed mostly by the Asian giants China and Japan. However, the country, the so-called most powerful nation in the world in terms of military power, higher-educational institutes, economy, R&D and whatnot is surprisingly miles away from being counted as a top player in the two most played sports in the world – Football and Cricket.

This miraculous victory over one of the strongest teams in the global cricketing arena will definitely sow the seeds of cricket in the country in the long run and give it another reason to rejoice and feel proud.
Certainly, it is going to take quite some time for the country to be counted alongside India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Australia, England etc as a successful cricketing nation, but, as long as Indian-origin players Netravalakar and Monank Patel, Aaron Jones, Andries Gous, and seasoned bowlers like Kenjige and Harmeet Singh are willing to put in their 110% and the nation is positively backing them in terms of providing all essential support, the team will keep on marching ahead in a dominating trajectory. And ultimately, there’ll come a day when the US cricket team won’t upset or make the other big teams feel ashamed anymore on their defeat, as suffering a loss from a strong opponent isn’t considered as a major blow at all.
