What it actually takes to be a good guitarist?

Hello there
So nice to see you all again.
Hope you all are doing absolutely fine.

I request you to genuinely give 4-5 minutes of your life in reading the post. I assure you, it will totally be worth and you will end up with a smile on your face and a fire in the heart.

As I mentioned in the last post, how good it feels to always put a smile on our faces.
Let us start with a big smile on our faces.
Are you smiling?
No, you aren't.

Come on friends, alright have a look at this baby.
Will he possess the same cuteness and charm on his face with a long face?
You can surely imagine your face here and see if it's true or not ;)

Let us come on to some of the real benefits of keeping a constant smile on the face:

1. It improves our mood to a remarkable extent. Whatever situation you are in, how much sad you are, how many problems you are facing. Ask yourself will the problem be solved, will the situation come under control sitting with a long face ??? Obviously no, in fact, the problem will go worse than before.

I know, it's not going to be that easy, but at least you can try. Gradually it'll become your habit and your life will start to change.

2. It will make others happy. Yes, actually the more you'll talk to people with a smiling face, the more you'll look at them with a smiling face means you're giving them a chance to smile which will ultimately lead to their happiness. And I don't know if there is something more satisfying than making another person happy without doing much but giving a smile only.

3. This one's really important, keeping a constant genuine smile on your face will make you much more beautiful or handsome than you actually are. If you wanna give it a try, just go and ask your mirror.

{ I don't know if you noticed or not, but whenever I see a celebrity or a model in any award shows or social gatherings. I always see them putting a big smile on their faces. If you haven't noticed it before, watch an award show like Oscars, Filmfare, IIFA etc, and then look at every single celebrity out there. It's nothing but a psychologically proven fact that smiling people always look much more charismatic, confident, beautiful, and last but not least 'attractive'. }

Alright, let's come onto the main topic of this post. A topic which is so vast and important that you can write an entire book on this.

BEGINNINGS ARE ALWAYS DIFFICULT, YOU JUST NEED TO LEARN 'PERSEVERANCE' AND TO 'NEVER GIVE UP' :

Let me start with my story only. There is a countless number of stories regarding the same but I'll mention one of the most significant ones, which will cover almost everything.

In the beginning, even I wasn't able to hold a guitar properly...

I can never forget the day when the Granada PRLD - 68 PRO acoustic guitar was finally in my hand. I was so happy inside out because this was the gift which I had received from my grandmother. Though she had given me a lot of expensive gifts before, this was something much more special than all of them.
I had heard from everyone out there that it is one of the most complicated musical instruments to play, it will hurt my fingers, people spend a long long time learning it but still get nothing, etc. Still, I kept them all aside and started the journey. Deep inside I knew it very well that what they were saying was absolutely alright.
On the very first day, I wasn't even able to hold it properly. While chords and strumming were something out of my world. I actually don't know what tuning the guitar means. But somehow I managed. I sincerely want to thank Himanshu sir and Kshitij sir for making me understand the basics and
helping me every time whenever I asked for help.
It took me about 4-5 days to understand only what the tuning actually means. Later I joined the guitar classes. In the beginning, I was like it's so difficult, how can I expect to create a melody when I am not even able to hold the plectrum properly. Every day I was, I have nothing to lose if I'll quit at this stage. The more I started pulling myself backward, the more I started falling down every day. Every day when I try to strum it sounds so bad that it forces everyone to stand and move away.
Losing all hopes after getting so much bad from deep inside, I broke down and packed the guitar FOREVER. But somewhere, every day I was dying deep inside.
But a spark ignited the fire inside my heart and I unpacked the guitar all again. This time also I faced the same issues, same problems but I accepted them and started finding ways to resolve them instead of getting sad and quitting.
Gradually I started learning the strumming patterns and the chords. And after that day I didn't look backward. There was a day when I had no idea about the tuning, chords, strumming, and all but now after 4 months I can play the barre chords, percussion style, most of the Bollywood songs, and the biggest thing's that it sounds good too. 😄
I know it's just a fraction of what actually a professional guitar player knows. There's much more to learn. But I am so happy that I didn't give up. And at least I can play the guitar even to the smallest level, but I can.

The most important point I need you all to get influenced with is whatever you're going to start, either you're learning an instrument, a new software, a new language. Either you have just started preparing for a national level exam, just started training for a sport or just started working at a new place. BEGINNINGS WILL ALWAYS BE TOUGH AND IT'S NOT FOR YOU ONLY BUT FOR EVERYONE WHO'LL START IT . YOU JUST NEED TO HOLD ON, JUST DON'T GIVE UP. YOU'LL FACE SO MANY PROBLEMS BUT WITHOUT GETTING OVER THEM YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO ACHIEVE THE GOAL.

Just stick to it for a month or two. I assure you if you give your best for one month or two and didn't quit in between, you'll surely get your goal. I am not just flattering you, it's a proven
fact.

Do it seriously and enjoy the success, step back, and live the same ordinary life.

OVER THE GLOBE :

Now a days 18th Asian Games are going on in Jakarta Palembang. Every day a number of athletes and players are winning medals for their countries. We can't even imagine how badly they have prepared for it. Somewhere, in the beginning, this kind of situation may also have come up in their lives when they thought like quitting. If they gave up that day, does it be possible for them to stand at a position of 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the whole of Asia ??

My best wishes to all of them for their extraordinary achievements. 👏
And to those who didn't succeed in getting a medal, because they have also done a fabulous job. Every athlete or every player can't win a medal. They can just give their best shot.

IN THE NEXT POST :

I won't disclose it now, but it's going to be much better and a little different 😉
