Life goes on. No matter the bruises we get on our bodies, our hearts, our egos, or our self-respect, life keeps moving at its own pace. Often, it even gives a cheesy smile at our helplessness. It races ahead when we beg time to slow down, and drags lazily when we desperately want it to speed up.
In our darkest moments, when pressure feels unbearable, when one harsh blow follows another, when we stand on the brink of emotional collapse, we sometimes discover an invisible helping hand. It doesn’t magically fix everything. But it empowers us just enough to dodge the stones life throws our way.
The recent Air India disaster in Ahmedabad, which claimed the lives of all passengers but one, holds countless stories that ended before they could even see the true colors of life. On that tragic afternoon of June 12, 2025, flight AI171 bound for London crashed within seconds of takeoff. The dreams of 241 passengers, the hopes of around 20 individuals including several medical students at the crash site, and the aspirations of hundreds of families were charred to ashes.
Naturally, the question arises: whose fault was it? It’s never easy to answer, especially when so much is at stake.
The AAIB’s interim report and the whispers out there, remotely pointing towards the pilot, a seasoned professional with decades of flying experience who was nearing retirement and who had to care for his ailing parents, seems both unfair and premature.
Anyone who has seen how governments, big corporations, and global institutions function, knows this uncomfortable truth that when powerful players are involved, how easily rules bend, ethics blur, and accountability becomes negotiable.
For years, whistleblowers and investigative journalists in the US have warned that a particular aircraft manufacturer has gone dangerously easy on technical requirements and safety protocols eventually leading to catastrophic consequences.
Whether the aircraft maker is in any way responsible for this tragedy is something only a transparent investigation can reveal. But, what's undeniable is that lives have been lost, dreams have been crushed, and families have been shattered forever. No report can undo that pain or no punishment can truly compensate for it.

And yet, as harsh as it sounds, life goes on! It always does! Days, months, and years from now, the overwhelming grief of families will begin to soften, the haunting memories will slowly fade, and the rest of the world will move forward, because that is the way life is designed, unfeeling and unstoppable!
To be honest, tomorrow it would be me, you, or any of our loved ones in someway or other. Still, life will…go on! It neither stops nor truly cares for anyone! It simply continues, dragging us along with it. But in tragedy, there always lies a quiet hope that those responsible, whether individuals or corporations, are held accountable; that grieving families find strength to endure their unimaginable loss; and that someday, the world learns to value safety, transparency, and human life above profit and power. Because while life goes on, the least we can do is to make it safer, fairer, and kinder for the ones still living it.
